Is your front wiper no longer working, stopping mid-sweep or failing to return to its park position? The motor is usually to blame. This front wiper motor, original reference 8K025, is a direct replacement for the part fitted to Aixam minicars from 1997 to 2009, including the first-generation Minauto.
How to check it fits your minicar
The safest way is to start from your vehicle: find its type code (for example VLGC34VBO, or VLGK34VBE for a Minauto) on the registration document or the manufacturer’s plate, and look it up in the compatible models table below. Also compare the shape, mounting points and connector of your motor with the photos and the exploded view (part 3). Not sure? Is your Aixam from a different generation? Front motor: 8K025 (1997-2009), 8AP025 (2010-2015), 820BF025 (from 2016). Rear motor: 8H065 (1997-2009), 8AP065 (2010-2015), 821BF065 (from 2016).
Signs of a faulty wiper motor
- The wiper blades no longer move, even though the fuse is fine.
- Wiping is slow or irregular, or only one speed works.
- The blades stop in the middle of the windscreen.
- The motor hums but nothing moves.
